The congregants of St. Stephen’s Church, Ifewara were agog as they welcomed the 5th Bishop of Ilesa Diocese (Anglican Church), the Rt. Rev. Prof. Dàpọ Fólórunsho Asaju had embarked on an Episcopal visit to the Ifewara Archdeaconry.
The Diocesan, Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo Fólórunsó Asaju, who doubles as the Bishop Theologian of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion had earlier branched at St. John’s Church, Iwikun, and St. Philip’s Iwara while on his way to Ifewara. He was happy to meet the congregants and priests of these two parishes and he prayed for them.
The Vicar of St. Stephen’s Church, Ifewara also doubles as the Archdeacon of Ifewara Archdeaconry, Ven. Dr. Z. A. Adeniji welcomed the Bishop to the church and Ifewara Archdeaconry.
The Bishop while delivering his charge said he was under the tutelage of Pastor E. A. Adeboye at Sabo Oke ìn Ilorin. He acknowledged the goodness of Pastor Adeboye as a servant of God and charged the people of God to follow his good example as a parishioner of the church at Ifewara. He charged the congregants to be awakened from their slumber and be ready to work for God. The Bishop reaffirmed that Anglican is Pentecostal and that the youth be given chance to conduct service every last Sunday of the month. He, therefore, reminded them of the commandment of Christ as recorded in Matthew 10:7-8 and ended his sermon using Psalm 27
The Bishop also visited the Royal Father of Ifewara, His Royal Majesty, Oba Hazakiah Adeniyi Owolola (Ogogo II), and The Adimula of Ifewara. The Bishop appreciated the Royal Father and prayed for him and the city.

St Luke’s Church, Ajebamidele. (The Bishop promised to lay the foundation of the church vicarage in October this year)
St. Paul’s Church, Ọlọrunshogo. (The Bishop promised to ordain the Lay reader who has been serving as Lay reader the church since the time of Archbishop Ademowo (Rtd) who was then the Bishop of Ilesa)
St John’s Church, Erinburo Ijesa (The Bishop promised to build a modern toilet for the Vicarage)
The Bishop and his team returned back to ilesa late in the evening
