Ahead of the inaugural edition of the WAFU B champions league qualifier, Hassacass Ladies of Ghana sent a warning signals to Nigeria’s representative Rivers Angels as they won Ghana women FA cup.
Rivers Angels and Hassacass were paired in the same group conducted by African soccer governing on Monday with AS Police of Niger Republic completing the teams in the group.
Two first half goals from Doris Boaduwaa and Milot Pokuaa were enough to help the Hassacass beat Ampem Darkoa Ladies 2-0.
They beat the same opponent 4-0 last weekend to win the women’s premier league for the fourth time.
As winners, they took home a giant trophy and a cash prize of GHC30,000.00 .
The tournament in Coted’ivoire will run from 15-30 July, 2021 and tournament will serve as qualifier for the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League with the two finalists qualifying to represent the zone.
