The First Lady of Delta State, Dame Edith Okowa has called on Women to defend their homes through prayer and exercise faith in the face of challenges, especially when any member of the family takes ill.
She made the call today in Asaba while speaking at the ongoing 45th Annual Diocesan Women Conference of the Mothers’ Union & Women’s Guild held at St.John’s Anglican Church, Anwai Road, Asaba.
Speaking on the theme of the Conference; Be Ye Living Epistle, Dame Okowa enjoined her listeners to fight their battles with the word of God. She emphasized that it is only when righteousness is in place that one can live epistle, and called on to shun the vices that negate success in the Christian walk.
President of the Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guild & Ladies/Girls Guild, Diocese of Asaba is Mrs. Comfort N.Obuh. She is the wife of the Rt. Rev’d Kingsley Obuh, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Asaba .
