The Bishop of the Diocese of Okrika, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd. Enoch Atuboyedia has urged Christians to trust in God despite the economic challenges confronting the nation.
Rt. Revd., Atuboyedia stated this during a One-day synod of the Diocese held at All Souls Anglican Church, Osou-Ogu, Parish on Friday 16th October, 2020. He said total dependence on God was the only solution to the problems facing mankind.
Bishop Atuboyedia expressed gratitude to the Primate of all Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Revd. Henry Ndukuba for his prayers, encouragement, guidance and spiritual leadership and emphasized that his administration would attach premium to evangelism and church planting.
The Bishop, who christened his episcopate, the Reign of God’s Glory, said it was chosen to spur the people of Okrika Diocese to work collectively for the manifestation of God’s glory.
He urged all members of the diocese to venture into aggressive soul winning to expand the Diocese and God’s kingdom.
He thanked the clergy and laity for their laudable roles in ensuring smooth Consecration and enthronement ceremonies assuring that God will manifest his glory in the people of Okrika ethnic nationality.
Highpoint of the Synod was the appointment of the new Diocesan officials and constitution new committees of the diocese to help him realize his new vision.
