The house of Sunday Adeyemi ‘Igboho’, the man at the centre of the recent eviction controversy in Oyo State, was set ablaze in the early hours of Tuesday. Confirming the incident to Channels Television, the Oyo State Police Command said it received a distress call about the fire around 6 am. Security forces have withdrawn from Ugandan presidential candidate Bobi Wine’s residence after he spent 11 days under house arrest, his lawyer said on Tuesday. “They are now leaving, we hope this doesn’t change later today,” George Musisi said. The Ugandan High Court ordered security forces to end Wine’s house arrest on Monday. A Ugandan court has ordered security forces to cease surrounding the home of opposition leader Bobi Wine, whose house arrest since the presidential election has drawn international pressure. A Kaduna State High court presided over by Justice Gideon Kurada has ordered the Nigerian Correctional Service to evacuate the wife of the embattled leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Zeenat Elzakzaky to an isolation centre to enable her to undergo treatment for COVID-19. Mrs Elzakzaky reportedly contracted the virus inside the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Kaduna state capital last week.
