A military court in Burkina Faso charged former President Blaise Compaore in absentia on Tuesday in connection with the 1987 murder of his predecessor, Thomas Sankara. The US, South Africa and European Union will temporarily stop the rollout of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid jab, after reports of rare blood clotting.
