AACC 12th Assembly LOC Takes Awareness to Churches in Abuja

The Local Organizing Committee of the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) chaired by the President of the Nigeria Baptist Convention, His Eminence, Dr. Israel Akanji has scaled up its awareness drive for the hosting of the 12^th General Assembly and 60^th Anniversary of the AACC being hosted in Abuja, Nigeria from November 18^th to 23^rd, 2023.

The LOC which consisted representatives from all the AACC member churches working with all subcommittees embarked on awareness across the member Churches in and around the Federal Capital Territory. Various churches were visited to inform the congregation of the upcoming hosting of over 200 churches across 43 African countries coming to Abuja.

One of the Churches visited on Sunday, 29^th November, 2023 was the Unity Baptist Church Utako, Abuja where the director of ecumenism of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Venerable Dr. Princewill Ireoba lead a team to create awareness on the event. The Church pastor Rev. Sabonyaro Adams who is also the Chairman of the Abuja Chapter of CCN welcomed the team to his church and encouraged all members to plan for the AACC event. Dr. Ireoba noted that Unity Baptist Church is one of Baptist Churches that will be hosting the delegates of the AACC. He noted the significance of this event and seek for the Church’s support through prayers, financing, hospitality and attendance.
