The Primate Church of All Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba, has urged Nigerians to engage in mobilizing citizens for the forthcoming 2023 elections to make the change we deserve.

The Primate said this in an interview with the journalists on the state of the nation in Abuja.

According to him, the 2023 elections are an opportunity for us to make a clear statement about leadership in this nation from the local government to the state and the federal positions.

The Anglican primate urged all Christians and all Nigerians to be involved.

“If you don’t like the way things are going get involved and let us make sure that we register for voting in 2023 and make sure that we vote and our vote will count,” he said.

The Bishop also called for the need to review the Nigerian Constitution, as it needed a total overhauled.

“We call for a new Constitution for the nation, the Constitution that will be formulated by the citizens of this nation by the ethnic groups within this nation,” he said.

He said that the country had come to a breaking point and that we must take our destiny into our hands and determine the directions that this nation should go.

Therefore, we are calling for a totally new Constitution for Nigeria.

“We want to ask that the National Assembly should put the things necessary in place for these to be done; if not let the incoming governments in 2023 make this a priority.

“This is the only way we can address how we relate with one another and how we should share in the commonwealth of our nation,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to rise up as patriotic citizens of this nation and defend the freedom of every citizen and the life of every citizen nobody should be allowed to take the law into his hand anymore.

He advised that citizens should seek and pursue peace, adding that “There is nothing we cannot forgive each other if we work together, we can enjoy the blessings of God in this nation”
