‘Your Legacy Will Never Fade’: Ondo AG Marks Late Son’s 14th Birthday in Tribute

In a touching tribute, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, honored his late son, Master Kayikunmi Edwin Kayode Ajulo, on what would have been his 14th birthday, Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

In a heartfelt message titled “In Loving Memory of Master Kayikunmi Edwin Kayode Ajulo @ 14,” Dr. Ajulo expressed the enduring pain of his son’s absence, who passed away in a tragic accident.

“My heart aches with the weight of remembrance as I honour my beloved son, Kayikunmi, who would have been 14 years old today. The tragic accident that took you from us still feels unreal, yet your soul continues to shine brightly within me,” he wrote.

He fondly recalled Kayikunmi’s bright and loving nature, noting the significant impact he had on his family and all who met him, despite his young age.

Ajulo described his son as a daily source of inspiration, whose memory continues to comfort and guide the family through their grief. He also acknowledged the shared sorrow of his wife, Lady Kofoworola, and Kayikunmi’s siblings, Kanyinsola, Olaoluwakiishi, and baby brother Kinfe.

He said he finds solace in the belief that Kayikunmi’s soul is at peace, watching over them with unwavering love. He reflected on the cherished memories of his son’s laughter, joy, and vibrant spirit, which “echo in our memories, reminding us of the precious moments we shared that can never be taken away.”

The commissioner affectionately referred to Kayikunmi as “my shining star” and “my General,” highlighting the deep pride and love he continues to hold for his son’s memory.

“As we gather to honour your memory, we hold you close in our hearts, where you will forever reside. Your legacy of love and the impact you made will never fade from our lives,” he concluded.
