The Archbishop-elect of Bendel Province, Most Rev C.O. Odutemu has called on Christians to confess their faith in Jesus Christ, while here on earth, so that they could attain life on the Resurrection Day.

In his sermon during the funeral service of the late Ven. Dr Robinson Orhuerakpo Arhawho at St Thomas Anglican Church, Uwheru, on January 17, 2020, Odutemu enjoined Christians to emulate the late Arhawho’s kindness to all during his lifetime.

He quoted John 11:24, where Jesus said: ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die’ and admonished Christians to pray to have the resurrection experience and also attain life, as only Jesus Christ can give life.

The late Venerable Arhawho was a serving Archdeacon of the Diocese of Ughelli, a faithful and dedicated soldier of Christ, who touched many lives with the gospel of Christ. He hailed from Agadama in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, where his body was later committed to mother earth.

Aged 67, the late Arhawho was survived by his wife, Mrs. Victoria Arhawho, five children and four grandchildren. Among those who attended the service were the Bishop of Warri Diocese, Rt. Rev. C.E. Ide; Bishop of Sapele Diocese, Rt. Rev. B. O. Erhifeta; Bishop of Oleh Diocese, Rt. Rev. J.U. Arhuakpo; Bishop of Ilesha Diocese, Rt. Rev. S. O. Sowale; Chaplain of Ibru Centre Agbarha Otor, Rev. Canon Gabriel Kpagban and a host of other dignitaries from different walks of life.
