The Primate, Archbishop Henry Ndukuba, on Tuesday in Abuja inaugurated two major committees to strengthen the vision of mission, evangelism, and discipleship in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).
The Committees are: The Church of Nigeria Vision Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation taskforce; and the Children and Youth Mission taskforce, also known as the Joshua Generation.
The Vision Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation taskforce is to be co-chaired by Archbishop of Owerri Province, the Most Rev’d David Onuoha and the Bishop of Kebbi Diocese, the Most Rt. Rev Edmund Akanya.
The Joshua Generation taskforce will be anchored by the Rt. Rev Aloysius Agbo of the Diocese of Nsukka, the Primate announced.
‘‘God will raise a Joshua in our generation. The Joshua generation is the conquering generation.
‘‘The Church of Nigeria will play a key role in world evangelism. The Church of Nigeria is being positioned to lead the world mission. The Joshua generation will have a key role to play,’’ Archbishop Ndukuba said while inaugurating the committees.
