During a live Sunday service at the church’s campground, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, president and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, stated that the fire at the church’s headquarters was not an accident but a gateway to bigger and better things.
He said, “Nothing in the life of a child of God happens by accident. Duri
the 2001 Ikeja cantonment bombing, the building shook so violently that we feared it would collapse. I resolved then that if it did collapse, we would rebuild it bigger and better. Ultimately, it stood firm, and engineers confirmed it was structurally sound.
“With this recent incident, we will construct a bigger, better, and more glorious edifice, leaving the devil to lick his wounds.”
Amazingly, there was no life lost in the cause of the fire outbreak.
