The Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace, the Most Rev’d Dr. Henry Ndukuba, has appointed Venerable Ephraim Mawo Akanya as the new Chief Protocol Officer of the Church of Nigeria.

He will be taking over from Venerable Ben Enwuchola, who was recently elected as the Bishop of the Diocese of Otukpo.
Ven. Akanya has been serving as the Assistant Chief Protocol Officer in the church of Nigeria secretariat. He is also currently the Sub-Dean in the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Gwarinpa, Abuja.

Meanwhile, the primate has also appointed the Venerable Festus Uzorka Nwafili as the Warden of St.
Matthias House, the Secretariat of the Church of Nigeria. Just as Ven Akanya, he will be taking over this position from the same Bishop-elect of Otukpo Diocese, the Venerable Ben. Enwuchola.

Venerable Nwafili had served in the Secretariat as the Chaplain to the former Primate of All Nigeria, His Grace, the Most Revd. Nicholas Okoh.
He is also currently the Archdeacon of Maitama Archdeaconry and the Vicar of St. Matthew’s Church,
Maitama, Abuja.

This statement was released by the General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, the Venerable Gershinen Paul Dajur, Ph.D. as he called for prayers for them as they served in their new appointments.
