Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, on Tuesday, disclosed why he dethroned former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi.
Ganduje explained that he dethroned Sanusi, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to save the traditional institution in the state from abuse.
Speaking at an event in Abuja, the governor insisted that the former CBN governor was not the best man for the throne at the time he was appointed in June 2014.
Ganduje disclosed that Sanusi was appointed Emir to spite former President Goodluck Jonathan.
