Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has queried claims by the Lagos State Government that it was out of bed space to treat COVID-19 patients.
DAILY POST had reported that the State Health Commissioner, Akin Abayomi, had said mild cases of coronavirus will now be treated at home.
This followed the shortage of bed spaces at its Isolation Centres.
He was quoted as saying, “We will be concentrating on people with severe cases and isolating them while mild cases will be managed at home. Our attention is shifting to community-based isolation”, he said.
However, reacting on Twitter, Shehu Sani wondered why the State government has failed to show Nigerians pictures of hundreds in a Ward.
He also criticized the Federal Government for attacking States that lifted ban on religious gathering.
He wrote, “They will say they are short of bed spaces for COVID-19 patients, and they will never show you hundred people in a ward at a time.
“The FG that lifted their lockdown, opened their offices and malls in Abuja is attacking the states that opened their worship centers.”
