COVID-19: Peter Obi donates palliative materials to Anambra Anglicans

The former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, has donated food items, drugs and antiseptic products worth over N20 million to Anglican Churches in Anambra State as COVID -19 intervention package for the members.

The materials included 630 10-kg bag of rice, 630 cartons of noddles, 7,500 pieces of face masks, 30,000 pieces of hand gloves,30 cartons of paracetamol drug, hand sanitizers among others.

The donation was made at the Bishop’s Court, Diocese on the Niger, Ozalla Road, Onitsha, by the former Economic Adviser of the state, Prof. Stella Okunna who represented the donor.

She explained that the gesture was the donor’s little contribution towards cushioning the effects of the present knockdown on the people.

Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Bishop on the Niger, the Rt Rev Dr Owen Nwokolo, thanked Mr Obi for his magnanimity and prayed God’s continued blessings on him.
