Anambra state command of the Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that nine persons reportedly got injured following a serious road crash along Onitsha -Awka old road.
The accident involved a Honda pilot jeep with registration number AWK 494DU and a Yellow Mitsubishi L300 bus with registration number ATN752 ZK.
Ag. Sector Public Education Officer, RC Kamal Musa confirmed that out of a total of 16 persons involved in the crash, it was only 9 persons that sustained varying degrees of injuries.
“A serious road traffic crash as a result of the loss of control leading to a head-on collision involving a Honda pilot jeep with registration number AWK 494 DU, and a yellow Mitsubishi L300 bus with registration number ATN 752 ZK occurred at about 1420hrs Thursday 3rd August 2020
“According to eyewitnesses, a total of Sixteen(16) people (11) male adults and (5) female adults were involved. Six(6) male adults and (3) female Adults sustained varying degrees of injury and were rushed to Iyenu hospital Ogidi, by FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command while obstruction is being cleared. No life was lost.
