The United Nations (UN) Security Council has condemned the massacre of villagers in Borno.
The body called for arrest and prosecution of terrorism sponsors.
The Boko Haram sect, last Saturday, murdered at least 43 Zabarmari farmers at Koshebe.
The victims were buried on Sunday. Residents say tens of villagers are still missing.
The UN Security Council members expressed deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and Nigeria.
The council reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.
The members underlined, “the need to bring perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice”.
They urged all countries to act in accordance with their obligations under international law and relevant council resolutions.
The members reiterated that any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed.
