Christians have been charged to be bold and move on without fear, in the year 2020.

The Most Rev. Dr Caleb Anny Maduoma, Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Owerri and Bishop of Ideato Anglican Diocese gave this charge at the New Year Service, which took place at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Awalla in Ideato-South LGA in Imo State.

The Archbishop urged Christians not to be afraid when faced with life’s challenges, but that they should march forward with boldness, trusting God to be faithful to His promises.

He said, “God’s promises are always there and He will lead His people.”

Archbishop Maduoma thanked God for the new year, pointing out that God will lead all who walk in His ways and do His will. He said God will see Nigerians through the challenges they are facing and deliver the nation from its troubles.

According to the Archbishop, God will never leave His children, rather it is man that often abandons God. He said God is always faithful to His promises, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die, in order to save mankind.

The Most Rev. Caleb Maduoma concluded with a call to all Christians to ensure that they and their household serve God diligently this year.
