The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, Ekiti State Branch, has disowned a suspected fake doctor, Olalekan Timothy Fasipe, who was recently arrested on the allegation of forgery of his registration certificate with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN. Olalekan, who is a staff of Ekiti State Hospital Management Board, had been parading himself as a qualified doctor without necessary certificate and qualifications. Nigeria’s Falconets defeated their Ugandan  Under 20 counterparts, 2-0 in the semi-final of the football event of the ongoing African Games in Ghana. Falconets are the reigning champions of the women’s football event and they didn’t have it easy against a plucky Ugandan side who were eager to upset the form book. Nigeria, however, broke the deadlock in the 74th  minute through Adaobi Okah before Rivers Angels’ Chiamaka Okwuchukwu netted the second in the 90th  minute. The suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Prof Cyril Ndifon, has told the Federal High Court in Abuja that the lawyer representing the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission is not listed on the roll of legal practitioners in Nigeria. The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday rejected the bail application by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, however, granted an accelerated hearing instead. Two people have sustained varying injuries after a suspected suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device strapped to his body near a mosque in Biu Local Government of Borno State.
