The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, Ekiti State Branch, has disowned a suspected fake doctor, Olalekan Timothy Fasipe, who was recently arrested on the allegation of forgery of his registration certificate with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, MDCN. Olalekan, who is a staff of Ekiti State Hospital Management Board, had been parading himself as a qualified doctor without necessary certificate and qualifications. The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday rejected the bail application by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu. The trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, however, granted an accelerated hearing instead. Two people have sustained varying injuries after a suspected suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device strapped to his body near a mosque in Biu Local Government of Borno State.
