The Department of State Services (DSS) has criticised the claim by a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Obadiah Mailafia, that a governor from the north is the leader of the Boko Haram sect. A member representing Dass constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Honourable Musa Mante has been killed. The lawmaker was murdered around 2 am by gunmen in his residence at Baraza, Dass Local Government Area of the state. The gunmen also abducted his two wives and a year-old-daughter. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has reeled out eight guidelines for political broadcasts ahead of the forthcoming Edo and Ondo State elections. The Police in Kaduna State has arraigned two brothers, Nehemiah and David Adejo before a Chief Magistrate court sitting in the state capital,  in connection with the death of Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile.
