The Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N) has faulted the position of the Supreme Council of Sharia in Nigeria on what would bring a lasting solution to the killings in Southern Kaduna. C.A.N told the Shariah council that peace could not be achieved by calling for more deaths. The Christian organisation stated this in response to the claim by the Muslim scholars that a revisit to the death sentence handed to a retired Major General, Zamani Lekwot and others, who were found complicit in the 1992 bloody riot in Zango-Kataf would end the crisis in Southern Kaduna. The President of CAN, Dr Samson…

Around December 2019, the world’s attention was drawn to a virus causing havoc in remote and far off Wuhan, China. Many people probably saw the problem only as that of China’s. But people had forgotten that, given the various technological advances, the world has become a global village. If any nation thought it was immune, that thought quickly disappeared with amazing rapidity, and with the ease that modern transportation affords, the virus quickly spread all over the world. The effect all over the world was the same. Life, as we knew it, ended almost abruptly. There was a total lockdown,…

When Paul went to Ephesus and asked the disciples there, if they received the Holy Spirit, when they believed, they answered: “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit” (Acts 19:1-2). If such a question were to be asked us today, the answer would most likely be: “Ah, we even dispense and disburse the Holy Spirit. In fact, the Holy Spirit is at the tip of our hands.” The Holy Spirit has become too familiar, to the point of misconception and even abuse. Many things without Biblical warrant are said and taught about Him and many…

But United made and wasted almost all the big chances after the break as Bono produced a string of stunning saves until substitute Luuk De Jong turned home Jesus Navas cross 12 minutes from time.
