The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has raised the alarm that international travelers from some specific countries, who are COVID-19 positive, have been making their way into the country by presenting fake PCR results. The National Coordinator of the task force, Dr Sani Aliyu, disclosed this on Tuesday, in response to the joint Senate committees on Health and Aviation on the testing procedures, following the reopening of the international airspace. A US court of appeals on Monday gave the green light for the Trump administration to expel hundreds of thousands of nationals from four countries who had been granted protected status for humanitarian reasons. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has said it will release the results of the just-concluded West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) within 45 days after the exam has ended. The examination ended on Saturday nationwide and in other four West African member countries of WAEC – Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Gambia. A total of 1,459,463 students sat for the exams in Nigeria.
