Imo, Adamawa and Cross River States recorded over 50 per cent unemployment rates, a shocking indictment on their political leaderships. Imo State had the highest percentage of unemployed people in Nigeria in the fourth quarter of 2020, retaining a position it held in the second quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics said in its latest labour force report. Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have warned that there might be a fresh strike action over the alleged non-remittance of some deductions made to the account of the union.
