The Dapchi Christian Schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, has delivered a second baby in Boko Haram captivity, according to a United States-based group, US-Nigeria Law Group. Parents of the 39 abducted students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna, have called on the government to hasten efforts at securing their release within 48 hours. At a news conference yesterday in Kaduna, the parents said since the abduction of their children 11 days ago, they had been going through excruciating pains and anxiety. Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network called Amotekun Corps have apprehended nine herders and seized 100 cows along the Akure-Ilesa highway. The herders were arrested for flouting Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s directives that herdsmen should get registered. They were also nabbed for violating grazing rules on the highway. At least, 40 persons have been killed in another attack in Niger. They were killed by a group of armed assailants who ravaged several villages in the Tahoua region near the border with Mali on Monday. Government spokesperson, Abdoulraman Zakaria confirming the attack on Monday said that soldiers were sent to the region and fought the attackers, NAN reports.
