The Primate of all Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev’d Henry Ndukuba will be converging youths across denominations in an international conference tagged Joshua Generation International Youth Conference with the theme ” Living with a purpose” (Romans 8:27-30) from Easter Monday in Enugu State.

Primate Ndukuba noted in his address to the Church at the Standing Committee stated that one of his focus will be ”to build Children and Youth Mission that will mobilize them unto the Word, Prayer, Worship, Witness and Outreach. We desire that God will raise the Joshua Generation who shall conquer their generation for the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”. In doing this the young people, in particular, must be empowered economically, spiritually and socially and be helped out of poverty and unemployment so that they will take their God given place in leadership both in Church and society.

One of the landmarks of this vision is his passion and resolve to bring back the lost youth into the fold of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion.

During the Divine Commonwealth Conference 2020, the Primate inaugurated the Taskforce on the Children and Youth Mission of the Church of Nigeria chaired by the vibrant Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, The Rt. Rev’d Aloysius Agbo with the focus of building Children and Youth Mission that will mobilize them unto the Word, Prayer, Worship, Witness and Outreach.

The Maiden Youth Mission Conference will hold from 5th to 10th April 2021 at University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State. The Theme is LIVING WITH A PURPOSE (ROM. 8:27-30). Prominent servants of God such as Brother Gbile Akanni, Bishop Ehpraim Ikeakor, Mr Akinwumi Adesina (AFDB President), Rt. Rev’d Prof. Dapo Asaju (Bishop Theologian), Mr. Tony Elumelu (Chairman, UBA), Ven. Justice Okoronkwo, Ven. Dr. Omeke, Solomon Lange and others will be ministering to the Youth.

The conference will launch the youths into the seven mountains of influence; which include Politics, Religion, Sports, Education, Marriage, economy, entertainment; for the church occupy those mountains and fulfill the prayer “thy kingdom come”.

In doing this the young people, in particular, will be empowered economically, spiritually, and socially and will be helped out of poverty and unemployment so that they will take their God-given place in leadership both in Church and society.

The Church has made it absolutely free for all participants, including feeding and accommodation who will register at www.jgiyc.com on or before 31st of March, 2021.
