Commissioner for Youths Development in Anambra State, Patrick Aghamba, and his wife have been kidnapped.
During the attack, one of the commissioner’s aides, identified as ABK Offiah, was reportedly killed. The couple was en route to Abuja for the wedding of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s daughter when the incident occurred on Friday.
In response, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesman, confirmed that the command is aware of the situation and has alerted other state commands for further action, as the kidnapping took place in another state. Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, stated that the government is still working to determine the exact location of the incident, with both Edo and Kogi states being mentioned.
