Emphasizing the true meaning of leadership, the Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor, has urged leaders to reflect the humility of Jesus Christ in their service to the people.

Delivering his Easter message at the Chapel of Grace, Bishop’s Court, Ekwulobia, the Bishop lamented the failure of many elected officials to meet the expectations of those they serve.

Bishop Ezeofor, who also chairs the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC), Nigeria, stressed that genuine leadership must be grounded in reverence for God and a sincere commitment to public good.

He called for a shift in mindset among those in authority, encouraging them to adopt Christ-like qualities of sacrifice and compassion.

As the Easter season symbolizes hope and salvation, the Bishop also appealed to wealthy individuals to remember the less privileged in society, urging them to share in the spirit of love and giving.
