Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, former Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has hailed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on the forthcoming international friendly match between Nigeria and Argentina.
The friendly will hold in Russian city of Krasnodar on Tuesday November 14, with all arrangements for the friendly concluded already.
“This is the type of friendly matches the team needs ahead of the World Cup,” said Ogunjobi, adding, “The NFF has done well in arranging this friendly for the team, as it will go a long way to shape up the team for the World Cup.
“The players and coaches should not go for the match with the impression of going to win. No, this is not what the match if meant for.
“Rather they should use it to prepare for the World Cup. If the opportunity of winning comes, of course, they should grab it but winning should not be the focus for the match,” he said.
“We’ve met on different times at the World Cup and it will be a good meeting again as both teams would be playing at the Russia 2018 World Cup,” Ogunjobi added.
