The security agency specifically advised residents of the areas to profile visitors before accepting them as members of their communities, to avoid harbouring dangerous criminals.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has advised residents of Kwali, Gwagwalada and Kuje areas of the Federal Capital Terrritory, FCT, to be security conscious.
The security agency specifically advised residents of the areas to profile visitors before accepting them as members of their communities, to avoid harbouring dangerous criminals.
The Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Audi, gave the advice on Thursday in Abuja, while inaugurating a new NSCDC Division in Kwali, alongside the Chairman of the Area Council, Mr Danladi Chiya.
He said residents of the FCT, particularly those in the outskirts, should always be alert because intelligence reports indicate that criminals hide and use bushes and hills around them to perpetrate crimes.
”Security agencies are however on top of the situation, hence, the need for vital intelligence reports from citizens.
”If you see something, you must say something because without that we can’t perform magic and whatever information is supplied will be treated confidentially, and together we shall find solutions to this menace of insecurity,” he said.
Audi charged community and traditional leaders to profile visitors before accepting them as members of their communities, to avoid harbouring criminals.
“Some of them come and live with the residents and indigenes and begin to plan attacks,” he added.
The CG said the newly inaugurated office would encourage operatives of the corps within Kwali to perform better.
“Kwali LGA has demonstrated that security is everyone’s business and is now rated as one of the LGAs to donate this edifice to our service.
”You have done your part so we will do our part as it is now our responsibility to equip the office with all necessary equipment to put the edifice to use”, he said.
