In a stunning display, Nigeria’s Super Falcons triumphed over Algeria with a commanding 4-1 victory in Lagos, completing a double against their rivals.
This match marked the second of a doubleheader international friendly, following their first encounter last Saturday. Folashade Ijamilusi shone brightly at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, scoring an impressive hat trick.
She kicked off the scoring in the 10th minute and quickly added her second goal in the 18th minute. Although Allouache Quassila managed to pull one back for Algeria, Gift Monday responded by restoring Nigeria’s lead to 3-1. Ijamilusi capped off her hat trick in the 86th minute, ensuring a comfortable 4-1 win for the Falcons.
