The celebration of the 23rd Anniversary started yesterday Wednesday 18th October, 2017 with a Holy Communion Service at the Chapel of Peace, Bishop’s Court, Lokoja.
The celebrant, The Most Revd Emmanuel A. S. Egbunu, Ph.D. In attendance were the clergy within Lokoja town, some Diocesan officials, the standing committee members of the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Lokoja and others.
The day is also usually celebrated as St. Luke’s Day. In hi sermon, the Diocesan challenged all present to be faithful, diligent and selfless in serving God like Luke – the evangelist , who though was a physician saw the need for the healing of the souls of men and stayed with Apostle Paul working for the kingdom even when others like Demas had left him (2Tim.4:10-11).
The 3 Day Revival to mark the 23rd Anniversary of the Diocese of Lokoja commences today Thursday 19th of October to 22nd of October 2017, at the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, Lokoja by 4:30PM daily. The general thanksgiving is scheduled to hold on Sunday 22nd of October, 2017 by 10AM.
