President Muhammadu Buhari has called on international financial institutions to cancel Nigeria’s debt obligations and those of members of the Non-Aligned Movement. The pardon, if granted, will help member states to withstand the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. The Federal Government has warned Nigerians not to let their guards down against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu spoke on Monday during the daily press briefing by the task force in Abuja. A 22-year old man, Cletus Chisom was on Monday stabbed to death by a security guard at a market in Onitsha, Anambra State. The suspect, Ibuchi Nwoju allegedly stabbed the deceased in the chest with a knife following an altercation. We gathered that the deceased came to the market to fight the suspect who had confonted his sister for not wearing a face mask. A staff of Union Bank, on Monday, died of COVID-19 in Lagos. Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Emeka Emuwa confirmed this in an internal memo made public on Monday.
