The Lagos State government is considering the full reopening of the critical sectors of its economy, following the gradual easing of the COVID-19 lockdown. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who revealed this on Sunday, however, stated that the move would not be pushed in a hurry. A former Military Governor of Kaduna State, Retired Colonel Dangiwar Umar, has criticised President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged nepotism. Colonel Umar also accused the President of making lopsided appointments that favour a particular section of the country over others. Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has ordered for an investigation into the murder a 100-level student of the Department of Microbiology, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Vera Uwaila Omozuwa. The 22-year-old student was reported to have been raped inside a church where she went to read at the Ikpoba Hill area of Benin City, the Edo State Capital.
