The United Kingdom Parliament has confirmed it will consider a petition seeking to sanction the federal government for human rights abuses over the End SARS protests. The petition which is on the UK government and parliament website, accused the Nigerian government and police of violating the rights of those protesting against police brutality and extortion. Samson Folarin Suspected hoodlums have set fire to Television Continental, aka TVC, at Ketu, Lagos. A popular talkshow programme, YourView, was on when the hoodlums besieged the station. At least 1,993 inmates are at large following the attack on two Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) Custodial Centres in Edo State, the Federal Government has said. Mr Mohammed Manga, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Interior, gave the figure in a statement on Tuesday.
