Air Peace has pledged a seamless and exciting air travel experience on the Abuja-Uyo-Abuja route beginning December 7, 2017.
This was disclosed shortly after Dana Air was announced the Official Airline of one of the biggest festivals in the world – The Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival, scheduled to hold on December 22, 2017 at the Uyo Township Stadium, Akwa Ibom state.
A statement by the carrier’s Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Chris Iwarah, confirmed that the airline would now fly daily from Abuja to Uyo and Uyo to Abuja.
The new flights, Air Peace said, would complement its Lagos-Uyo-Lagos service and afford members of the flying public more options to choose from in making their business and leisure trips.
The carrier said the new service was in response to the yearnings of air travellers for on-time, consistent and reliable flights on the Abuja-Uyo-Abuja route.
Air Peace assured that its new flights will cater for the huge demand for air travel on the route in the run-up to Christmas and give flyers confidence in planning their schedules.
Meanwhile, Dana Air has been named as the Official Airline of the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival.
Mr Aniekpeno Mkpanang, The Permanent Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Coordinator of the Festival, disclosed this in a statement by the spokesman of the airline, Mr. Kingsley Ezenwa.
The statement hinted that the Christmas Carols Festival who welcome at least 20,000 artistes and visitors who are expected to fly in from other parts of the country, Africa and the world.
He said that this prompted the organisers to partner with Dana Air in order to ensure a hitch-free, hassle-free, seamless and on-time travel for all guests and visitors.
He added: “As you may be aware, the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival is the largest assembly of carol singers in the world and this is a global achievement officially certified by Guinness World Records.
“We have a track record of hosting world-class events and we can’t afford to let the ball drop at this point when we are aiming to beat even our existing records. We are grateful to our Governor and Principal Host, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the unbridled consistency of his full support.”
