Rt. Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, has encouraged Christians to serve God with patience to fully experience His glory and mercy.
Bishop Ezeofor made this call at the conclusion of the National Convention of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion (EFAC) Nigeria, which took place at St. John the Divine Church and the Federal Polytechnic in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The convention drew participants from EFAC chapters across Nigeria and centered around the theme “Show Forth His Glory.”
As the National Chairman of EFAC, Bishop Ezeofor emphasized that God is preparing His people to become vessels of His glory, blessing them and empowering them to showcase His greatness to the world. He urged Christians, particularly the youth, to remain steadfast in prayer, as God is seeking individuals to clothe with His glory, enabling them to achieve remarkable things on earth.
Bishop Ezeofor also highlighted that God reveals His glory for various purposes, including blessing His people, upholding creation, and punishing the wicked. He further noted that the annual EFAC convention serves as a platform for God’s ministers to reawaken Christians, especially EFAC members, to their divine mandate of winning souls.
In his remarks, EFAC National General Secretary, Venerable Olugbenga Ajayi, described the one-week convention as life-transforming, offering strength to Christians who may have lost their faith. He encouraged perseverance and unwavering faith in God, assuring that the current challenges facing the country will soon pass.
Mrs. Chinyere Ezeofor, President of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry, spoke on the crucial role of women as pillars in both the Church and society, advising women to rely on God for continued success. Venerable Steve Nnadi, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude for the success of the event, describing it as extraordinary.
The week-long convention featured various activities, including drama, interactions, testimonies, seminars, and Bible study, all hosted by the Aguata Diocese of the Anglican Communion.
