The bishop of Ahoada Anglican Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Clement Nathan Ekpeye has announced the unconditional release of the Clerical Synod Secretary of the diocese, Rev Canon Hanson Bernard.
Canon Hanson Bernard who was abducted by unknown gun men on his way back from Nsuka, along the Owerri Port Harcourt road in Imo State, in the evening of Wednesday, June26, 2019, was released unhurt in the late hours of Thursday June 27, 2019 from his abductors.
Rt. Rev’d Ekpeye who spoke from the Bishop’s Court in Ahoada, thanked God for showing up at the cries of His Children maintaining that the Church of God must move on and the gate of hell shall not prevail
The Bishop also thanked members of the diocese of Ahoada, friends and well wishers for showing concerns and offering prayers which led to his immediate release. He is most particularly, grateful to the prayer squad, the clergy and the laity for always rising to the occasion when it matters most praying God to abundantly bless them
Rev Canon Hanson Bernard has since been reunited with his family members
