The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has expressed hope that President Bola Tinubu and other leaders in the country will pay attention to the concerns of Nigerians and take steps to address them.

Kumuyi spoke on Wednesday upon arriving in Abuja for the 2026 edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), a six-day outreach expected to attract thousands of participants from within and outside Nigeria.

Addressing journalists at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, the cleric said the success and impact of the crusade over the years have been the result of divine intervention rather than human effort.

According to him, numerous testimonies have emerged from previous editions of the crusade, including stories of transformed lives, restored families, healed individuals and young people redirected from destructive lifestyles.

He noted that the outreach has reached several countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America and other parts of the world.

Speaking on expectations for the Abuja gathering, Kumuyi said the programme would focus on personal transformation, national development and collective responsibility.

He expressed optimism that government officials, policymakers and other leaders who participate in the crusade would be inspired to embrace ideas capable of improving society.

“Sometimes it is not what you say that people hear, but we are trusting God to make our leaders and policymakers hear what they need to hear and act on it,” he said.

Kumuyi added that genuine change requires not only listening but also taking practical steps to address the challenges facing the nation.

The Global Crusade with Kumuyi will run from June 24 to June 29. Sessions for the first two days will hold at the Deeper Life Bible Church Headquarters in Kado, Abuja, while the main events from June 26 to June 29 will take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Organisers said the programme will feature special sessions for youths and professionals and will be streamed to audiences across different continents, with the goal of promoting spiritual renewal, salvation and positive societal transformation.
