Speaking at a special dinner organized to commemorate Democracy Day at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, Senator Shehu Sani emphasized that those who participated in the protests should be recognized as champions of democracy.

The event was graced by President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, accompanied by their spouses. Dignitaries in attendance included the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Chief Justice of the Federation, state governors, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), diplomats, traditional rulers, and lawmakers.
