The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi, His Lordship, The Rt. Rev’d. Ephraim Ikeakor has called on Christians to embrace faithfulness as that is the guarantee for God’s visitation and miracles upon them in the year 2021.
Bishop Ikeakor made this call while preaching at the 2021 Prophetic Prayer Breakfast held at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, Amichi to herald the year 2021.
According to him, “The anchor for survival this year will be complete trust in God and righteousness. No matter what happens around you, trust him. He has never failed.”
Bishop Ikeakor called out on Nigerian leaders blaming the increasing poverty in the land on their indolence and insincerity.
“The youths are angry and that anger will continue until and unless the right things are done. Those of you who travelled from Lagos or Abuja to come back for this Christmas, how were the roads? Some of you had to travel for two days to get home. The money is there but a few wicked individuals have taken it to themselves.”
Bishop Ikeakor regretted that politicians rush abroad for medical treatments abandoning the poor masses to their fate. He queried the rationale for paying jumbo salaries to illiterate politicians while professors are going home with peanuts. He warned that there will be strange deaths in Nigeria this year unless leaders amend their ways before God.
While proclaiming his prophetic words for 2021, Bishop Ikeakor made nine prophecies for the year warning of dire times ahead. He declared the prophetic words from God.
“2021 is a year of great challenges and turbulence politically, economically and morally. In this 2021, I will demonstrate my almightiness against the mighty men and women of the world-locally, nationally and globally.”
Speaking further, Bishop Ikeakor said that in 2021, God will start to stop all the powers, persons and rulers who have declared themselves unstoppable. He said that God will shake and shock the political and ruling class through deaths and mishaps.
Preaching on the topic “Help from above” Bishop Ikeakor said that with the situation of things in the country, the only hope of help to the people must come from above.
To be able to access this help, he said that the people must commit to a life of righteousness and godliness, absolute trust in God in all situations, obey divine instructions and standing on the word and promises of God.
Prophetic prayer breakfast is an annual event that holds every first day of the year in the Diocese of Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government of Anambra State. The Bishop proclaims God’s word and declares blessings on the people for the new year.
