The immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday described himself as a “retired politician.”
Jonathan said this after a closed door meeting with former Military Head of State, Gen Ibrahim Badamosi Babaginda, IBB, at his hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger Delta.
Jonathan had arrived IBB’s hilltop mansion in company of former Senator Nimi Barigha Amange, who had represented Bayelsa East in the National Assembly.
It was gathered that the meeting between the duo which started a few minutes after 10.00am did not end until about 12.14pm.
Addressing journalists while on his way out, the former President, who refused to respond to questions asked, described the visit as “private”.
When further asked to comment on the situation in the country, Jonathan replied, “We are retired politicians.”
