The Police Special Tactical Squad Operatives have arrested three of the suspected abductors of students of the Bethel Baptist High School in Kaduna State.
The Force spokesman, Frank Mba, paraded Adamu Bello, Isiaku Lawal and Muazu Abubakar, in Abuja on Thursday, as part of the 25 gang members who kidnapped 126 students from their school on July 5. About 100 of the victims have so far been freed by their abductors.
The spokes man revealed that the suspects played very active role in the kidnap of the students, adding that “we have generated sufficient intelligence, and we are closing in on others”.
In response to questions, Abubakar said, “We kidnapped them because we needed money.
“Twenty-five of us carried out the operation. We kidnapped 126 students and I got N100,000 share from the money (ransom),” Abubakar, who was dressed in military camouflage, stated.
