Spiritual Revelation: Bishop Obi Shares Insights During Episcopal Visit to Azia and Osumoghu Community

The Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Ndubuisi Obi

On Sunday 16th June, 2024 the Bishop of Nnewi Diocese Rt. Rev’d Ndubuisi Chukwuka Obi and wife Mrs. Ukamaka Zipporah Obi (mama Nnewi ) paid episcopal visit to Azia and Osumoghu Community for confirmation and Admission service held at St. James Anglican Church Azia.

In his sermon, the bishop spoke on the topic; “Only the believers can receive the Holy spirit ” taking his text from the gospel according to St. John 14:15-17.

The prelate highlighted some vital points that can help a believer to stand firm in faith and at last make heaven.

First, to be able to make heaven, one must take a decision to repent from all his waywardness

Secondly, such a person must distance himself or herself from people who lure him or her into sin

Thirdly, being a good church man is not enough, one must be guided by the Holy spirit the bishop says.

Finally, when all the above had happened, such a person should join a Bible teaching follow up group that will help him or her to grow spiritually.

In his vote of thanks, the vicar of St. James Church Azia and Archdeacon of Azia Archdeaconry Ven. Tochukwu Ubachukwu thanked the bishop for his usual support to the entire churches in Azia and Osumoghu Community, begging for financial help to one of the prayer team member who slumped while praying in the Church.

The Bishop in response cleared the hospital bill worth (#200,000) two hundred thousand naira only and also prayed for her during the benediction. Also the Administrator of Osumoghu Community Rev’d Canon Tochukwu Igweze thanked the bishop for his Care for them, especially during this period of insecurity challenges in their area.

Total number of 60 candidates were confirmed, 16 women were admitted into Mothers union and 14 girls were admitted into Girls guild. The service was well attended by members of the two community. Congratulations to those that were admitted and confirmed.
