President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the immediate construction of a 600-capacity hostel for students at the Nigerian Law School’s Abuja campus.

This directive aims to alleviate the persistent accommodation issues faced by students of the institution.

In a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lere Olayinka, President Tinubu instructed FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to begin work on the project without delay.

The approval includes the construction of two separate 300-capacity hostels, one for male students and one for female students.

The president’s approval extends beyond the hostels. He also authorized the construction of a new road to link the Body of Benchers Secretariat in the Jabi District to Nile University.

This road project is expected to help ease traffic congestion on the route that provides access to the head office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The projects are set to be carried out under “emergency consideration,” highlighting the administration’s commitment to swiftly addressing the pressing needs of the Nigerian Law School community.
