The Nigerian Christian community is in mourning following the sudden death of prominent pastor, Reverend Azzaman David, in a lone car accident on Saturday.
Reverend David was returning to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State after a three- day crusade when the tragic incident occurred.
Proper details of the accident remain unclear, but his death was confirmed by Rev. Mohammed, a close family friend.
He was the esteemed leader of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, based in Kaduna. He was widely recognized for his impactful online presence, particularly on Facebook, where he regularly shared insightful Christian teachings.
His ability to clearly explain biblical concepts garnered him a significant following actions the globe.
The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the Christian community.
The Christian Association of Nigeria expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the reverend and described him as a courageous preacher and a passionate advocate for the right of persecuted believers.
“Evangelist Azzaman was a courageous preacher, an unapologetic defender of the Christian faith, and a passionate advocate for the rights of persecuted believers. His life and ministry were marked by boldness, spiritual conviction, and an unwavering commitment to truth and justice,” the statement read.
“Kaduna has truly lost a great soldier of Christ. Evangelist Azzaman stood tall in defence of Christianity, fearlessly speaking out against injustice and persecution. He was a prophetic voice, a bridge-builder, and a spiritual father to many across denominations and communities.”
Details regarding his funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
