Nigerians on social media have begun to react to the sack of the Osun State Governor by the election petitions tribunal.
The tribunal had in a Friday morning judgement nullified Governor Adeleke’s victory at the July 16th, 2022 governorship election in the state.
The tribunal had hinged its judgement on evidence of over voting presented by the APC and subsequently, declared former Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, the validly elected candidate.
Some of the reactions have faulted the tribunal’s judgement, alleging that the Nigerian judicial system is flawed and fraudulent
Murphy: “Ademola Adeleke will remain Governor till Supreme Court judgement. Oyetola Gboyega can’t be Governor again.”
Idris: “Tinubu has paid the judge. He wants to use Oyetola to rig the election. Adeleke must go nowhere. Remain in the office, and let’s see the police that will arrest you.”
Tony Ofuyah: “So with just one Governorship election, the INEC can’t protect and defend their BVAS. Yiaga Nigeria also misinformed Nigeria that the election was one of the best. So BVAS results are not final or authentic. How will Nigerians have confidence in d process?”
endyy090: “So after voting, this is what we get. At this point, I don’t think Nigeria needs an election again. The system is fraudulent.”
Mr Kolz: “Why are they always looking for means of imposing this APC party on the masses? The masses said enough is enough, they don’t want APC anymore, but all you could do is to bring back their sorrow. This is so unfortunate.”
Henry said, “I simply do not understand, I thought BVAS was used? how come we had overvoting? This whole thing is difficult to understand, I hope all these will be cleared before the general election. Especially on BVAS. So the people got to the polling unit to check their name and did not see it on bvas, and the INEC official still allowed them to vote, counted it and sent it to the INEC server?”
Yusuf Dingyadi: “Was it not a compromised judgement because APC has already made plans before now? Another thing, Gov Adeleke will appeal the judgement to the Supreme court. This is Nigeria for all of us. You suffered to get people to mandate, but, yet Court will sit and do otherwise.”
Nnamdi Ahukanna: “Why can’t we have principled members of any tribunal in this country after these years? Why are they always bought over by the party at the centre? The judiciary is Terrible.”
