The Diocesan, who spoke through the Clerical Synod Secretary Ven. Dr. Godfrey Mortanya affirmed that the Anglican Diocese of Nnewi is a ‘Church’ which always stands for the “TRUTH” no matter who is involved.
On the issue of Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme allegedly faking her JAMB Result, the Diocesan maintained that it is not a case of the Diocese, rather efforts are made to unravel the truth about the issue and ensure that no one is dehumanized in the process. We are not fighting on Religious grounds, it is not a religious issue – Ven. Dr. Godfrey Mortanya.
However, The CSS further emphasized that the academic records of Miss Mmesoma Ejikeme prove that she is intelligent, and that is the more reason carefulness and transparency must be applied in the enquires to unravel the truth.
While speaking, the Administrative Secretary to the Bishop, Ven. Chukwunonso Arinze, called on all the investigative bodies concerned, to do in-depth research that will lead to a Logical Truth, this will help to avoid future occurrences.

Henry Nduka, The Diocesan Education Secretary, Rev. Can. Chibuzor Odunukwe, The Episcopal Assistant to the Bishop on Special Duties, all representing the Bishop at the moment, as he is currently on vacation outside the country.
