On Friday, 13th December 2024, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, His Grace, the Most Rev’d Dr Henry C. Ndukuba, welcomed two distinguished officers and priests of the Nigerian Army Chaplain Services—Lt Col (Ven) M.O. Amuluche, the current Director of Chaplain Services (Protestant), and Lt Col (Ven) T.E. Ogbonyomi (Rtd), the immediate past Director—on a courtesy visit.
The visit marked a significant moment of transition and prayerful commissioning as Lt Col (Ven) Amuluche begins his tenure as Director, and Lt Col (Ven) Ogbonyomi transitions into retirement after years of commendable service to God and country.
During the occasion, the Primate expressed deep appreciation for the retired Director’s exceptional service and congratulated him on completing his military career gloriously. He extended warm prayers for his adjustment to civilian life and his return to sacerdotal ministry within the Church of Nigeria, trusting that his pastoral leadership in a civilian parish would continue to bear fruit.
The new Director, Lt Col (Ven) Amuluche, pledged to uphold the highest standards in his duties, striving to make the Church of Nigeria proud through his leadership and dedication.
The meeting was concluded with fervent prayers by the Primate, who invoked God’s guidance and blessings upon both leaders as they embrace their respective new phases of ministry.
Memorable photographs were taken to commemorate the visit, underscoring its importance as a moment of gratitude, transition, and recommitment to service in God’s vineyard.
