On 29 July 2020, the Dean Emeritus of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion and retired bishop of the Diocese of Lagos clocked 72.

He had a low key celebration at his residence in Chevron-Lekki. The incumbent Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, The Rt. Rev’d Dr. Humphrey Olumakaiye, his wife Professor Mrs. Motunrayo Olumakaiye led members of Ademowo’s family, some priests, and few associates to felicitate with him. Also present was the Bishop of Osun North East, The Rt. Rev’d Akorede Okuyelu.

The Dean Emeritus and retired Bishop of Lagos Diocese Most Revd Adebola Ademowo at 72. Cutting the cake with him from left Bishop Akorede Okuyelu, Diocesan Bishop of Lagos Diocese Humphrey Olumakaiye, the celebrant, his wife Mrs Oluranti Ademowo and Mama Lagos Prof Mrs Olumakaiye.

A short service was conducted by Venerable Agbeluyi. In his short homily said grand and great-grandpa Ademowo had every cause to thank God for celebrating the year of his birth still looking younger every day in good health. Bishop Akorede Okuyelu of Ijesha North East and few priests were in attendance.
